Joanne Monahan

Meet Our Benefactor

Joanne Aronsohn Monahan was a lifelong resident of Scranton, Pennsyvania, a philanthropist, a woman dedicated to helping seniors and a charming woman who loved to make handmade cards. Joanne obtained a Master’s Degree in Recreational Therapy from New York University and focused on working with seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Joanne realized the power of smart technology and how it simplified and enriched her life. She loved to learn about technology and share the information with others.

"I'm an old bird, but
I'm still flying"

Joanne always said, "I'm an old bird, but I'm still flying."
The foundation exists to continue her dream to educate seniors on the use of smart technology. She appreciated the convenience of this technology and knew it could help seniors feel safe and connected to others.
